Fundraising

Fundraising at Austin Keystone Academy supports our mission as a secular, inclusive K–12 homeschool community. Our approach is community-centered, transparent, and intentionally modest.  We use clear, accurate language and prioritize ethical stewardship.

All contributions directly support a safe, welcoming, and academically strong learning environment for our students. Funding helps with the purchase of classroom furniture, curriculum materials, program enrichment and accessibility initiatives.

Participation in fundraising is always optional and never connected to enrollment or belonging.

We currently have two general opportunities for families and the broader community to support Austin Keystone Academy and help foster a thriving learning environment. Each option reflects a different way to contribute, and there is no single “right” way to participate. Support looks different for everyone, and all of it is appreciated.

Wishlists: As we work through the first semester, we currently have some outstanding needs for teachers' classrooms and the general learning / community space. Therefore, we developed two wishlists to provide in-kind contribution options.

1. Austin Keystone Academy uses the Dreamlist platform for contributions of items that are preferably new for various reasons. This list also includes any requests for in-person volunteers or skilled assistance that may be helpful in various ways.

You can find the Dreamlist wishlist here: DreamList.com/for/austinkeystoneacademy

2. The second wishlist supports sustainability and an abundance mindset within our community. It includes items teachers are happy to have acquired from Buy Nothing/Sell Nothing groups, thrift stores, or other second-hand options such as marketplace/e-bay/etc. (Ideally, these items would still be in good, albeit lightly used, condition.)

You can find this wishlist here: Wishlist for Gently Used Items

* These lists will be updated regularly throughout the year in order to fulfill ongoing needs.

** If you secure items from either of these lists, please send a quick email to erinahn2@gmail.com to keep the lists updated and track contributions.

Monetary Contributions:

Some members of our community enjoy contributing through wishlists or in-kind support, while others prefer a simpler option; both are equally appreciated. For those who would like to contribute financially, we welcome optional monetary contributions via Venmo.

These contributions help cover start-up and core operational costs not fully met by tuition and facilities fees. They also support the everyday needs that keep our learning environment safe, functional, and welcoming. If you choose this route, please note your support as a “Fundraising Contribution” in your description.

You can find us on Venmo@austinkeystoneacademy

Please note that Austin Keystone Academy is currently structured as an LLC and is working toward nonprofit status. At this time, contributions are not tax-deductible.
